Community Alert: Armed Robbery Suspect Wanted on Thunderchild First Nation
On May 9, 2026, officers from Turtleford RCMP responded to an armed robbery involving a firearm at a residence on Thunderchild First Nation, Saskatchewan. A resident was assaulted and an ATV was stolen. The victim reported minor injuries. Multiple people have since been arrested in related investigations, but one man connected to the initial robbery remains wanted by police.
This updated alert follows the arrest of Phoenix Standingwater on May 12, 2026 on Thunderchild First Nation. Turtleford RCMP are still actively trying to locate Dimetre Paskimin, who is wanted in connection with the armed robbery. Police are asking the public not to approach him and to report any sightings immediately.
Official RCMP Incident Details
At approximately 3:15 p.m. on May 9, 2026, Turtleford RCMP received a report of a robbery with a firearm at a home on Thunderchild First Nation. Investigators determined that suspects arrived in a car and a truck, assaulted a resident, and stole an ATV from the property.
Initial police response led to the arrest of a 25-year-old male on Thunderchild First Nation shortly after the incident. Turtleford RCMP then requested assistance from the Lloydminster Crime Reduction Team (CRT), which operates under the Saskatchewan RCMP’s Saskatchewan Enforcement Response Teams (SERT), to track remaining suspects.
Vehicle Flight and Seizures
At approximately 5:50 p.m. the same day, officers with the Lloydminster CRT and Turtleford RCMP located a vehicle matching the suspect car description near Thunderchild First Nation. When police activated their emergency equipment, the driver fled. Officers followed the vehicle, which later left the roadway and rolled on Highway 794 near the intersection with Highway 4, about 30 kilometres north of North Battleford.
Police arrested the driver and three passengers (one male, three females) without further incident. One occupant was taken to hospital as a precaution and later released into RCMP custody. A search of the vehicle and driver led to the following seizures:
- Multiple knives
- One sword
- Approximately 4.2 grams of cocaine
- Approximately 1.2 grams of methamphetamine
- Keys to a previously reported stolen vehicle located on the driver
Investigators determined that the occupants of this crashed car were not involved in the original armed robbery but were arrested and charged in relation to drugs, weapons, and driving offences.
Charges Related to the Crashed Vehicle
Kade Schacher, 22, of Lloydminster, Saskatchewan, is charged with:
- Two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, Section 5(2), Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
- One count of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, Section 88(1), Criminal Code
- One count of flight from peace officer, Section 320.17, Criminal Code
- One count of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, Section 320.13(1), Criminal Code
- One count of possession of proceeds of crime under $5,000, Section 354(1)(a), Criminal Code
Charlene Wright (37), Tanis Nicotine (31), and Sommer Thunderchild (27), all of Lloydminster, Saskatchewan, are each charged with:
- Two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, Section 5(2), Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
- One count of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, Section 88(1), Criminal Code
Schacher, Wright, Nicotine, and Thunderchild are scheduled to appear in court in St. Walburg on June 2, 2026 (Information #90574982).
Armed Robbery Investigation and Primary Suspects
Through further investigation into the armed robbery on Thunderchild First Nation, police laid an additional charge against another suspect:
- Rocky Wuttunee, 25, of Lloydminster, Alberta, charged with one count of robbery with a firearm, Section 344, Criminal Code
Wuttunee is scheduled to appear in Lloydminster Provincial Court on June 2, 2026 (Information #90568962).
UPDATE: Arrest of Phoenix Standingwater
As part of this ongoing investigation, Turtleford RCMP arrested Phoenix Standingwater on May 12, 2026 on Thunderchild First Nation. He appeared in court in Onion Lake on May 13, 2026.
WANTED: Public Help to Locate Dimetre Paskimin
CRITICAL COMMUNITY REQUEST: Turtleford RCMP are still actively searching for Dimetre Paskimin, believed to be involved in the initial armed robbery on Thunderchild First Nation. A warrant has been issued for his arrest. He is considered potentially dangerous and should not be approached.
Charges for Dimetre Paskimin include:
- One count of robbery with a firearm, Section 344, Criminal Code
- One count of using an imitation firearm in the commission of an offence, Section 85(2)(a), Criminal Code
- One count of assault with a weapon, Section 267(a), Criminal Code

- Height: 6 ft 1 in
- Weight: 220 lbs
- Eye colour: brown
- Hair colour: black
