On the morning of May 3, 2026, officers from Battlefords RCMP responded to an urgent disturbance call at a church in North Battleford, Saskatchewan. A male suspect is alleged to have discharged bear spray inside St. Paul’s Anglican Church on 99th Street, affecting numerous people gathered there.

Police arrived quickly and took an adult man into custody at the scene. Approximately 25 people of various ages, including several children, were exposed to the bear spray and assessed by EMS. At this time, no additional physical injuries have been reported to police, and the investigation is ongoing.
