Halifax RCMP Arrest Timberlea Man on Warrants, Add New Charges

RCMP Halifax Regional Detachment has arrested a 38-year-old man from Timberlea, Nova Scotia, who was wanted on outstanding warrants, and has now laid additional criminal charges. The arrest occurred on the afternoon of May 1, 2026, in the community of Lower Sackville.
With support from multiple law enforcement partners, officers located and took the suspect into custody on Optimism Walk. The man, identified by police as Kristopher Scott Drysdale, now faces a range of property, violence, and compliance-related offences and remains in custody following a court appearance.

According to the official release from RCMP Halifax Regional Detachment, the arrest of Kristopher Scott Drysdale (38), of Timberlea, took place at approximately 4:05 p.m. on May 1, 2026, on Optimism Walk in Lower Sackville. The operation involved:

- RCMP Police Dog Services
- Truro Police Service
- Halifax Regional Police High-Risk Enforcement Action Team
RCMP report that Drysdale was arrested on outstanding warrants and is now charged with the following offences:
- Theft Under $5,000
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000
- Sexual Assault
- Assault
- In the Course of an Assault, Choking, Suffocating, or Strangling
- Failure to Comply with Release Order (two counts)
In addition, RCMP state that Drysdale is charged with the following in relation to an alleged incident on April 28, 2026:
- Uttering Threats
- Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
