Community Alert: Unique Food Trailer Stolen in Kelowna
The Kelowna RCMP are asking for the public’s help to find a distinctive food trailer reported stolen on Sunday, April 12, 2026. The trailer was taken from a fenced compound in the 2700 block of Highway 97 North in Kelowna, British Columbia.
Investigators believe the trailer was last seen in the compound around midnight, with security video showing it being removed at approximately 4:30 a.m. that same morning. Police are now seeking information from anyone who may have seen the trailer, the theft in progress, or the vehicle believed to be involved.
Official Details of the Incident
According to the RCMP, the stolen trailer is a uniquely branded food trailer with several identifying features. However, officers warn that its appearance may already have been altered. This incident is of particular interest to business owners and residents along the Highway 97 corridor and the wider Kelowna crime and safety community.
The stolen trailer is described as:
- Make/Model: 2022 Royal box trailer
- Colour (original): Light mint green
- Licence Plate: British Columbia plate 30193L
- Side Markings (original): The words “THE PASTA STATION TPS” were displayed on both sides of the trailer
- Rear Markings (original): The phrase “BUILD IT, TASTE IT, SHARE IT, BUILD YOUR OWN PASTA” appeared on the back of the trailer
Investigators believe:
- The trailer’s colour and lettering may have been changed since it was stolen, making it less recognizable.
- A white Dodge Ram full-size pickup truck is suspected to have been involved in towing or removing the trailer from the compound.
RCMP have released an image of the trailer as it appeared before the theft to assist the public in recognizing it:

CrimeCanada.ca Safety Perspective
From the perspective of CrimeCanada.ca, thefts of specialized business equipment like food trailers are more than property crimes—they directly affect local entrepreneurs, employees, and community events. In areas like Kelowna, where mobile food services and seasonal operations are common, staying aware of unusual vehicle and trailer activity is an important part of community safety.
We encourage residents and business owners to:
- Regularly review security for fenced compounds, parking lots, and storage yards, especially along major routes such as Highway 97.
- Document and photograph equipment, trailers, and vehicles, including licence plates and unique markings, to assist police if a theft occurs.
- Report suspicious late-night towing activity, particularly when trucks are seen removing trailers from commercial or fenced areas.
- Share verified RCMP alerts with neighbours, staff, and local business networks to quickly widen the search when valuable assets go missing.
By staying observant and reporting what you see, the community can play a critical role in helping the Kelowna RCMP locate this stolen trailer and deter similar crimes in the future.
