CrimeCanada.ca Safety Perspective
From a CrimeCanada.ca standpoint, property crimes such as break, enter and theft against businesses affect the broader New Brunswick community by driving up security costs, impacting local livelihoods, and potentially funding further criminal activity. Boat and trailer thefts are often targeted, and stolen items may be quickly moved across regions or offered for sale through informal channels. Staying informed about incidents like this can help residents of smaller communities and rural corridors—similar to those highlighted in our regional crime statistics pages, such as for Kensington-area communities—better understand emerging risks and trends.
CrimeCanada.ca encourages residents and business owners to review their security measures, including adequate lighting, surveillance cameras, secure storage for high-value items like boats and trailers, and recording serial numbers or unique identifiers. If you see a boat or trailer that appears out of place, has a plate that does not match its description, or resembles the one shown in the RCMP photo, report it. Quick community reporting and cooperation with police are critical tools in preventing repeat offences and recovering stolen property.
