Community Alert: RCMP Seek Info on Trucks in Thompson Homicide Case
Manitoba RCMP Major Crime Services has released new information in the ongoing homicide investigation into the death of Steven Seela, who was killed in a shooting in the trailer park area off Pipe Road in Thompson, Manitoba on November 24, 2024. Investigators are now focusing on identifying the people associated with two dark-coloured pickup trucks seen near the scene at the time of the shooting.
Following a recent outreach effort from April 20–22, 2026, where officers canvassed the Thompson community and spoke with more than 110 residents, police are turning again to the public for help. They believe that the occupants of these two trucks may have critical information about what happened to Steven Seela and are urging anyone who can help identify the vehicles or the individuals in them to come forward immediately.

According to Manitoba RCMP Major Crime Services, the current focus of the investigation includes two dark trucks that were in the vicinity of the homicide scene on the day of the shooting.
