Community Alert: Kidnapping Investigation in Richmond Restaurant Lot
On the night of April 24, 2026, at around 10:10 p.m., a man was reportedly forced into a pickup truck in the parking lot of the Bamboo Grove Restaurant at 6920 No. 3 Road, Richmond, B.C.. The incident was reported by a witness who saw two men force another man into a truck shortly after he left the restaurant.
The Richmond RCMP are actively investigating this incident as a kidnapping and have released video and updated images of a suspect vehicle believed to be involved. Suspect Vehicle Description
Police have now confirmed the suspect vehicle as a stolen grey 2013 Dodge Ram 1500. The truck is believed to have the following characteristics:

- Colour: Grey / dark-coloured
- Notable Features:
- Sunroof
- Mud flaps
- Triple ball hitch
- Licence Plate (at time of offence): B.C. plate RF541V
- The truck was reported stolen out of Maple Ridge on September 27, 2025.
Police have released actual images of the Dodge Ram 1500 believed to be involved in the kidnapping. Members of the public are urged to review the images carefully.
The RCMP have also made available a short video clip showing the incident and the suspect vehicle to help the public recognize the truck.
Additional Vehicle Seized
As part of the ongoing investigation, police have seized a Volkswagen Jetta that appeared in surveillance footage and is believed to be associated with the incident.
