  • Following the arrest, investigators linked the same individual to three additional recent thefts, resulting in further charges:

  • The accused was brought before a Justice of the Peace and remanded into custody with a scheduled court appearance on March 30, 2026.
• March 18, 2026 – Ace Liquor and Sport Chek thefts
  A 35-year-old individual was arrested following a shoplifting complaint from Ace Liquor after allegedly leaving with a bottle of vodka without payment. The same person was also found in possession of a duffle bag containing items believed to be stolen from the Sport Chek in downtown Fort McMurray.
