What police say happened

According to the RCMP, the pickup truck was seen driving erratically on Highway 36, near the intersection with Highway 13, around 7:30 p.m. A driver reported seeing red and blue lights in the truck's front windshield and pulled over onto the shoulder of Highway 36.

The pickup truck did not stop and drove away at a high rate of speed, police said.
