- Two counts of possession of a firearm obtained by the commission of an offence – Criminal Code section 96
- Two counts of unauthorized possession of a restricted firearm – Criminal Code section 91(1)
- Possession of a prohibited device – Criminal Code section 91(2)
- Two counts of storage of a firearm contrary to regulations – Criminal Code section 86(1)
Mr. Gingell remains in custody and is scheduled to appear in court on April 22, 2026.
Charges Against Kaiya Denechezhe
Kaiya Denechezhe has been charged in relation to firearms located during the execution of the search warrant. The charges include:
- Possession of a loaded restricted firearm – Criminal Code section 95
- Possession of a prohibited firearm with readily accessible ammunition – Criminal Code section 95
- Two counts of possession of a firearm obtained by the commission of an offence – Criminal Code section 96
- Two counts of unauthorized possession of a restricted firearm – Criminal Code section 91(1)
- Possession of a prohibited device – Criminal Code section 91(2)
- Two counts of storage of a firearm contrary to regulations – Criminal Code section 86(1)
Ms. Denechezhe has been released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on April 22, 2026.
Charges Against Lamar Sykes
Lamar Sykes is also charged in relation to the firearms seized during the search warrant. The charges include:
- Possession of a loaded restricted firearm – Criminal Code section 95
- Possession of a prohibited firearm with readily accessible ammunition – Criminal Code section 95
- Two counts of possession of a prohibited firearm obtained by the commission of an offence – Criminal Code section 96
- Two counts of unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm, knowing unauthorized – Criminal Code section 92(1)
- Possession of a prohibited device – Criminal Code section 91(2)
- Two counts of possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm while prohibited – Criminal Code section 117.01
- Failing to comply with a release order – Criminal Code section 145(5)
Mr. Sykes remains in custody and is scheduled to appear in court on April 15, 2026.
