Tragic Pedestrian Collision in Kelowna: RCMP Seeks Witnesses

The Kelowna RCMP are currently investigating a fatal collision involving a pedestrian that occurred on Sunday, July 26, 2026. The incident happened around 1:30 pm on Benvoulin Road, near Rampone Road. A man on a mobility scooter was tragically hit by a chartered bus. Sadly, despite being transported to the hospital with severe injuries, the man passed away. Fortunately, no one on the bus was injured.

Authorities have confirmed that the victim was a 97-year-old male local to Kelowna. According to Corporal Steven Lang of the RCMP, there is no initial evidence suggesting criminal activity or impairment. The police are currently reaching out to the community for any additional dashcam footage that might assist in their investigation.
