A 30-year-old driver received a 90-day licence suspension after two failed screening results in Brandon on November 3, police said. An off-duty officer had followed the vehicle from 13th Street and Richmond Avenue to a residence on 20th Street.

According to Brandon police, the off-duty officer saw the vehicle run a red light at 10:57 p.m. The officer also observed it swerving, braking unnecessarily and using its turn signals when they were not needed.

Police said the officer watched the driver leave the vehicle, urinate on his car and drink a beverage from the trunk. On-duty officers attended and administered an approved screening device test, which produced two fail results.
