Kings District RCMP have charged a 23-year-old Waterville man following three incidents at commercial properties in Coldbrook, including a reported break and enter on November 1. Police said buildings and vehicles were damaged in two other incidents.
At about 12:45 a.m. on November 1, officers were investigating a reported motor vehicle collision on Highway 101 near Coldbrook when they received a report of a break and enter at a commercial property on Opportunity Lane. Police said they found no evidence of a collision and redirected officers to the property.
When officers arrived, they saw broken windows in the building and learned that a man had been seen on the property, according to the RCMP. Officers soon located a man matching the description nearby and arrested him safely.

Investigators determined that the collision report was unfounded and had been used to divert police resources away from the break-and-enter area, police said. They also identified the same man as being involved in two other incidents at commercial properties in the Coldbrook Village Park Drive area.
Buildings and vehicles were damaged in those incidents, which occurred overnight between October 31 and November 1. They were reported on November 1, after the man was in custody.
Charges and appeal for information
Jessie Miller-Dixon is charged with breaking and entering with intent, four counts of mischief and four counts of failing to comply with a release order. He appeared in Kentville Provincial Court on November 2 and was released on conditions pending future court appearances.
