A Lac du Bonnet RCMP officer arrested a 38-year-old man after an off-road vehicle went into a ditch and got stuck along Highway 11 in the Rural Municipality of Lac du Bonnet on Nov. 3. Police said the driver was charged with flight from police and remanded in custody.

The officer was travelling on the highway at 4:50 p.m. when he saw the off-road vehicle crossing and driving on the road, according to the RCMP. The officer attempted to pull the vehicle over, but it did not stop for police. Instead, police said, the driver went into the ditch.

The vehicle became stuck in the ditch, and the driver was arrested quickly and without incident, the RCMP said. Police identified him as Kelly Bruneau, 38, of the Rural Municipality of Lac du Bonnet.
