Community Alert: Assault and Drug Seizure at Nipawin Residence

On the evening of March 29, 2026, officers from Nipawin RCMP responded to a report of an assault at a residence in the community of Nipawin, Saskatchewan. The call came in at around 5:10 p.m., after a victim managed to escape a violent situation inside the home and reach safety.

The above charges for Kitchener are associated with Information #90538996. In addition, RCMP confirm that he was already wanted on a warrant from Carrot River RCMP for multiple offences, including firearms-related charges under Information #90577566.

Arrest of 32-year-old Wendell Greenleaf (from Nipawin)

  • Arrested on an outstanding warrant from Nipawin RCMP
  • Charges include assault causing bodily harm (Information #90569102)

Arrest of 37-year-old Shelinda Vallier (from Cumberland House)

  • Arrested on an outstanding warrant from Melfort RCMP
  • Charges include unauthorized possession of a firearm (Information #90527917)

The four other individuals arrested at the residence were later released without charges. All three accused – Kitchener, Greenleaf, and Vallier – are scheduled to appear in Nipawin Provincial Court on April 1, 2026.
