Two men have been charged in connection with two separate 2025 shootings in Surrey, the BC Provincial Extortion Task Force announced on November 6, 2026. Police said Pardeep Singh and Saveer Khan, both 22, each face two counts of reckless discharge of a firearm, one for each incident.
On October 12, 2025, police responded to a report of shots fired at a home in the 13000-block of 103A Avenue in Surrey. A woman was injured in the incident, police said.
Four days later, police responded to a report of shots fired at a café in the 8400-block of 120 Street. The café was closed, but two employees were inside; neither was injured.

The extortion task force took over both investigations after potential links between the incidents were identified, according to the RCMP. Investigators then worked with policing partners on the cases.
The task force arrested Singh and Khan in Surrey on November 1, 2026, in coordination with CFSEU-BC and Surrey Police Service, police said. Both remain in custody.
Chief Superintendent Duncan Pound said the investigation included judicial authorizations, search warrants and analysis of evidence.
The provincial task force was established in September 2025 to coordinate and strengthen investigations into extortion-related offences across British Columbia, according to the RCMP. The RCMP said the task force's investigative work has resulted in 28 charges against 14 people.
