RCMP Alert: Major Synthetic Drug Lab Dismantled in Ontario

Ontario—In a significant operation, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) successfully dismantled a synthetic drug lab in Sturgeon Falls, Ontario. The operation, conducted on June 18, 2026, resulted in the arrest of seven individuals and the seizure of over $550,000 in suspected controlled substances.

Authorities uncovered a clandestine drug network operating along the Trans-Canada Highway. The RCMP’s Transnational Serious and Organized Crime (TSOC) Unit and the Integrated Synthetic Enforcement Team (ISET), with support from the Ontario Provincial Police, executed multiple search warrants, leading to the seizure of significant quantities of suspected MDMA, methamphetamine, and precursor chemicals.

• Brian Luong (48) of Nobleton: Charged with possession and production of methamphetamine, and conspiracy related to trafficking.
• Sebastian Toulouse (31) of Sturgeon Falls: Charged with conspiracy to traffic and produce controlled substances.
• Jason Brian Kaye (53) of Niagara Falls: Charged with possession and production of methamphetamine, and conspiracy offenses.
• Danika Landry (34) of Niagara Falls: Charged with conspiracy to traffic and produce controlled substances.
• Pierre-Yves Fleury (38) of Longueuil, Quebec: Charged with possession and production of methamphetamine, and related conspiracies.
• Hang Lin (50) of Scarborough: Charged with possession and production of methamphetamine, and conspiracy offenses.
• James Wen Liu (45) of Markham: Charged with possession and production of methamphetamine, and related conspiracies.

The RCMP also seized 42 kg of suspected MDMA, 7 kg of methamphetamine, and 540 kg of precursor chemicals stored unsafely, posing risks to public safety.
