RCMP Urges Safe Driving: Speeding Alert in The Pas

On July 22, 2026, the Manitoba RCMP North District Traffic Services reported a series of traffic violations near The Pas. In separate incidents, officers stopped two drivers exceeding the speed limits, one also resulting in an alcohol-related offense.

At approximately 6:16 pm, officers heading west on Highway 283 near Marlow Road detected a vehicle speeding east at 126 km/hr in a 100 km/hr zone. The 67-year-old driver from Flin Flon received an Immediate Roadside Prohibition after admitting to alcohol consumption and blowing a Warn. His license was suspended, his vehicle towed, and he was fined $391 for speeding. Later, around 7:30 pm on Ralls Island Road, officers stopped a 32-year-old female driving 107 km/hr in a 70 km/hr zone. Unable to produce a driver’s license, she had an unsecured child in the vehicle. She received fines totaling $838 under the Highway Traffic Act.
