Brandon police arrested three people in separate incidents involving a traffic stop, an outstanding warrant and a false break-in report during the 24 hours covered by their Nov. 8, 2026 release.

Traffic stop and warrant arrest

At 2:51 p.m., officers stopped a vehicle in the 800 block of Lorne Avenue. Police said a 45-year-old woman in the passenger seat was subject to conditions barring her from communicating with the male driver.

She was arrested for breaching her undertaking, held at the Brandon Police Service until she was sober and then released on an undertaking, police said.

At 9:45 p.m., police located a 46-year-old man in the 200 block of 10th Street. He had an outstanding arrest warrant for failing to attend court, according to police.

Officers arrested him on the warrant and found small quantities of fentanyl and meth when they searched him. Police said he was held until sober and released on an undertaking.

False break-in report

At 1:16 a.m., officers went to a home on Buttercup Bay after a report of a possible break-in in progress. The report turned out to be false, police said.

At the home, a 26-year-old man initially gave officers a false name, police said. After identifying him, they arrested him for public mischief and on outstanding Winnipeg Police Service warrants.
