Kings District RCMP have charged a Waterville man in connection with three property crime incidents in Coldbrook that police say occurred overnight between October 31 and November 1. Buildings and vehicles were damaged, according to police.
At about 12:45 a.m. on November 1, officers were investigating a reported collision on Highway 101 near Coldbrook when they received a report of a break-in at a commercial property on Opportunity Lane. Police said they found no evidence of a collision and redirected officers to the property.
Investigators later determined that the collision report was unfounded and had been used to divert police resources away from the area of the break-in, the RCMP said.

At the property, officers saw broken windows and learned that a man had been seen there. They quickly found and safely arrested a man matching the description nearby, police said.
Investigators identified the same man as involved in two other incidents at commercial properties in the Coldbrook Village Park Drive area, where buildings and vehicles were damaged. Police said those incidents were reported on November 1, after the man was in custody.

Jessie Miller-Dixon, 23, of Waterville, is charged with breaking and entering with intent, four counts of mischief and four counts of failing to comply with a release order. He appeared in Kentville Provincial Court on November 2 and was released on conditions pending future court appearances.
