A 39-year-old Dauphin man has been charged after RCMP responded to a report of multiple shots fired on Brown Avenue East. Police said they later found a modified pellet gun while searching a home. The report came in at approximately 5:40 a.m. on Nov. 4.
Officers went to a residence that police said is known to have residents tied to local organized crime. They cordoned off the area after finding evidence that a vehicle parked near the home had been shot at.
Three people inside a garage initially did not co-operate, but then came out and were safely taken into custody, police said. Others inside the residence refused to come out. A crisis negotiator was called in, and six more people emerged at approximately 8:30 a.m. They were also taken into custody.

Dean Levasseur, 39, of Dauphin is charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and three counts of failure to comply with a release order condition. He was remanded into custody.
Police said the others taken into custody during the incident were released without charge. The investigation is continuing.
