Community Alert: Break and Enter at Fort McMurray Restaurant

In the early morning of May 6, 2026, Wood Buffalo RCMP responded to a break and enter at a Boston Pizza restaurant on Millennium Drive in Fort McMurray, Alberta. An intrusion alarm signaled that someone had forcibly entered the business outside of regular hours.

Police arrived to find the front door damaged, signs of theft inside the restaurant, and the suspect already gone. Following a rapid investigation that included reviewing surveillance footage and obtaining a judicial warrant, officers arrested a 52-year-old Fort McMurray resident and recovered items believed to have been stolen during the incident.

Official Incident Details

According to Wood Buffalo RCMP, officers were dispatched at approximately 1:31 a.m. on May 6, 2026, after an intrusion alarm was triggered at the Boston Pizza on Millennium Drive in Fort McMurray. On arrival, police noted the front door had been pried open and that property had been taken from inside the restaurant.

Investigators reviewed surveillance video from the business, which showed a suspect known to police committing the break and enter. Officers then went to the suspect’s nearby residence, where entry was initially refused. RCMP obtained a judicially authorized Feeney warrant, allowing them to enter the home.
