Each call prompted coordinated efforts by crisis intervention teams, police, and emergency medical services to locate and assist the caller. Despite significant resource deployment during all eight incidents, the individual was never located at the time of the calls.
RCMP report that during five of these incidents, the caller allegedly used the names of other people, which required additional investigative steps and the engagement of further agencies. Across all eight incidents, RCMP estimate that approximately 239 investigative hours were spent, involving 25 police officers in both investigative and support roles.
Through continued investigation, RCMP identified a 34-year-old female resident of Selkirk as the person believed to be responsible for the calls. On April 17, 2026, she was arrested without incident.
