CrimeCanada.ca Safety Perspective
From the perspective of CrimeCanada.ca, alleged voyeurism in public family change rooms is a serious concern because it directly targets spaces where children and families expect privacy and safety. Incidents like this can be deeply distressing for victims and can undermine community trust in shared recreational facilities. We encourage parents, guardians, and facility users across Alberta to stay alert in change rooms, report suspicious behaviour immediately to facility staff and police, and have age-appropriate conversations with children about personal boundaries and how to seek help if they feel uncomfortable. Prompt reporting and community cooperation are key to identifying suspects quickly and helping prevent repeat incidents.
