RCMP Alert: Youth Arrested for Car Theft in East Hants
East Hants District RCMP has apprehended a youth following the theft of a vehicle and multiple attempts to evade police in Shubenacadie, Nova Scotia. On the evening of July 16, law enforcement responded to reports of a stolen vehicle and, after pursuit protocols, safely arrested the youth involved.
The incident occurred when officers identified the stolen Hyundai Elantra travelling on Hwy. 2. Despite attempts to stop the vehicle safely, the youth driver engaged in dangerous evasion, culminating in a high-risk stop where police vehicles were struck but no injuries reported.
