Community Alert: Indecent Acts Suspect Sought in Sherwood Park
Section 1: The Alert
Strathcona County RCMP are asking the public for help to identify a man suspected of committing indecent acts during two separate visits to the same pet store in Sherwood Park, Alberta. The most recent incident occurred on April 10, 2026, at about 7:50 p.m., at a pet store located near the intersection of Baseline Road and Broadmoor Boulevard.
Investigators have linked this event to an earlier incident at the same business on February 5, 2026, around 8:00 p.m.. In both cases, the suspect interacted directly with a female employee and engaged in sexually inappropriate behaviour. Police are now appealing to the public to help identify this man so the investigation can move forward and to protect others in the community.
Section 2: Official Details
According to Strathcona County RCMP, the most recent incident unfolded when an adult male entered the Sherwood Park pet store on April 10, 2026, and requested assistance from a female staff member. During that interaction, the suspect is reported to have deliberately exposed his genital area on two separate occasions.
After reviewing both occurrences, police determined that the same man had previously visited the store on February 5, 2026, at approximately 8:00 p.m. During that earlier encounter with another female employee, staff observed the suspect with an erection while he was touching his genital region in a sexual manner.
RCMP investigators are now working to identify the suspect and are releasing a description to the public. The suspect is described as:
- Race/Ethnicity: Caucasian male
- Age: Approximately 32 years old
- Height/Build: About 6 feet tall, with an average build
- Hair/Facial Hair: Light brown or dark blonde hair and beard
- Clothing: Wearing loose black jogger-style or pyjama-style pants during both reported incidents

Section 3: CrimeCanada.ca Safety Perspective
From the perspective of CrimeCanada.ca, incidents involving indecent acts in workplaces and retail settings are serious community safety concerns. They can have a lasting emotional impact on staff and witnesses, and may indicate patterns of escalating behaviour if not addressed quickly. In busy commercial areas like Sherwood Park, prompt reporting helps police identify suspects sooner and may prevent similar conduct from occurring again.
We encourage residents and workers across Alberta to stay aware of their surroundings in stores and other public places. If you experience or witness sexually inappropriate behaviour, move to a safe area, notify staff or management, and report it to police as soon as possible. When safe to do so, noting details such as the person’s clothing, physical description, direction of travel, and any vehicle information can greatly assist investigators. Sharing information through official channels, or anonymously via Crime Stoppers, directly supports safer neighbourhoods and workplaces.
